Costa Rica Villa Rentals

Looking to rent a villa on your vacation to Costa Rica? Want to know about listings and prices for villas in Costa Rica? Our guide gives you the facts & information you want to know.

Costa Rica is one of the most popular tourist destinations in all of Central and South America. With its warm sunny climate and astounding natural beauty Costa Rica is a first choice destination for many Americans when deciding where to spend their annual vacations. The fact that it’s comparatively closer than other destinations such as Europe and Asia, while still just as exotic and foreign also adds appeal to Costa Rica as a convenient vacation destination. Costa Rica has a well established tourist infrastructure with thousands of hotels across the country ready and able to cater for the needs of visitors. However, more and more people are now looking towards villa rental as a more convenient and often cheaper alternative to staying in hotels while in Costa Rica.

Renting a Villa in Costa Rica

The option of villa rental in Costa Rica is appealing to an eclectic mix of holiday makers in Costa Rica including everything from families with kids to groups of young guys enjoying a bachelor party. The first and most obvious advantage of renting a villa in Costa Rica is privacy and convenience. You can come and go whenever you want with whoever you want without having to check them in at the front desk of a hotel. Also you don’t have wake up and vacate your room at a specific time in the morning in order to ensure that your room gets cleaned. Secondly, when renting a villa in Costa Rica you can really feel at home which will put you in the relaxing mood you need to be in order to enjoy your vacation to the fullest.

Costa Rica Villa Rental Prices

Villa rental prices in Costa Rica vary depending primarily on location in addition, of course, to size.  The most popular places in Costa Rica with tourists are to be found along the coastlines, especially in the north of the country. This means that finding a villa to rent in these areas will also be fairly expensive, especially if you go in high season, which is between December and April when the demand is highest. Cheaper prices can be found outside of peak season when by and large demand drops and landlords are more willing to negotiate on prices.  Although not cheap, if you are going as a group of a few people, it may work out cheaper for everyone to have their own room in a villa than to pay for separate hotel rooms.

Costa Rica Villa Rental Agencies

A villa for rent in Costa Rica can easily be found through any estate agent either online or in Costa Rica itself. If you want to save time, find a villa for rent through an agency online but do not commit to anything until you have seen the villa for yourself as otherwise you may be obliged to pay for something that is not up to your standards.
