Haviland & Co. Limoges Platter Fleur Saxon Flowers
This particular piece belongs to the Fleur Saxe multi-floral patterns series produced by Pallandre. This platter is something special as it is credited as being the first ever design to have been produced by the Auteuil Studio under the guidance of Bracquemond.
The French Saxon China piece is marked with an F and dates back to 1876-1889. You will also find on it the markings “Pour Burley and Tyrell, Chicago” which is were it was created.
The platter is 13″ by7 1/4″ with a 2” rim. What sets this piece apart is the stunning pattern of summer blossoms meticulously painted in rich colors depicting them in full blown glory. Look closer and you will be able to find a small butterfly wandering amongst the breathtaking floral composition. The blossoms have been painted on the dish using a technique known as lithography along with which the designer has hand painted the accents.
French Saxon China Plates Blue & Floral
Part of the French Saxon China of Sebring, Ohio these nine inch plates have a very elegant design featuring a floral pattern on a white back ground. The center of the plate is white whereas the remainder of the background has been painted blue.
You will actually be treasuring this classy plate as it has a 22 carat gold trimming on its border amidst the blues and whites. Some people would not be all that comfortable eating from such precious plates lest they chip, crack or break. You can however alternatively put it up on display in your china hutch cabinet for your guests to marvel at.
Rancho Pottery Light Green Tea Cup & Saucer
This is one of the rare varieties from French Saxon China. Unlike the toned down and elegant designs that you get to see from the company this is a rather simple yet very lively variety. As the name suggests it is painted in a very fresh light green with a brilliant copper glazed finish setting it apart from other porcelain items. Hocking Coronation Saxon Pink Berry Bowl 1936
This is a marvelous glass bowl that has been adorned with a depression glass pattern which goes by many names. This is actually a series of nine different pieces bearing the same pattern. Three different sized cherry bowls are included in the series. All of them have been made available in a pretty pink color with the largest starting from eight inches across the rim. It has handles on both sides to provide ease of use. This vintage French Saxon China piece dates back to 1936.
