From the turkey burger she had at Donald Trump’s Palm Beach private club to the one cooked for her by one of the chefs in the Oprah Winfrey show; you can enjoy a host of recipes which are equally delicious.

For the recipe commonly attributed to Donald Trump’s restaurant you will need some interesting ingredients which include fruit as well as vegetables to flavor the turkey burgers.

Hi-end Oprah Turkey Burger Recipe

Slice 1/4 cup of scallions and sauté them along with half a cup of chopped celery and three Granny Smith apples which have been peeled and diced in 1/8 cup of vegetable oil till they become tender but are still crisp. Let this mixture cool while you prepare the seasonings for the ground turkey.

Put 4 pounds of the ground turkey into a large bowl and season with 2 tablespoons of salt and black pepper each, 2 tablespoons of Tabasco chipotle sauce, the juice of one lemon and grated zest of the lemon, half a bunch of finely chopped parsley as well as 1/4 cup of finely puréed tart mango chutney.

When the sautéed items have cooled down combine them with the turkey breast meat and shape it into eight burgers. These will be approximately 8 ounces each. Place the prepared burger patties in the refrigerator for two hours and then place the burgers on a preheated and greased grill. Cook on each side for approximately 7 minutes and let the burgers rest for five minutes to soak in the juices. Toast some bread buns or pita bread and spread a little mayonnaise if desired. Major Grey Style Mango Chutney

Using 4 cups of cubed mango combine 1 cup of dark brown sugar, 1 cup of apple cider vinegar, 1 cup of coarsely chopped yellow onions, 3/4 cups of golden raisins, half a cup of sliced lime, half a cup of grated gingerroot, half a cup of peeled as well as deseeded oranges, half a cup of molasses, 1/4 cup of sliced lemon, three cloves of minced garlic and one tablespoon of fresh mustard seeds and mix well.

Spice up the mangoes with one small teaspoon of dried red chili flakes, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon which has been finely ground, 1/4 teaspoon of cloves which have been finely ground and 1/4 teaspoon of allspice which has been finely ground and put the spiced mangoes in an enamel saucepan.

Heat till it starts boiling and keep stirring constantly to a rolling boil for 30 minutes. In the last 10 minutes you should add 2 tablespoons of finely chopped fresh cilantro.

You can store this chutney in chutney sealing jars which have been heated in a water canner to prevent mold and bacteria from contaminating the chutney. Once you have filled the jars and removed any air you will have to process it further for 10 minutes in the canner. Before you open the seal you’ll have to let the chutney cool and rest for 24 hours.
