Milan Opera house Museum

Milan is home to one of the best opera houses in all of Italy. As opera music was invented and developed in Italy, it is still a very popular form of music in Italy today and opera performances usually occur in front of sell out crowds. Even if you are not into watching three hour long opera performances a trip to the Milan Opera House Museum may still be worthwhile in order for you to get a better idea of this facet of Milanese and Italian culture. Inside the Museum, you’ll find displays of previous opera performances, costumes and props, and depending on whether or not there is a rehearsal in progress you may be able to actually enter the main opera hall and sample the phenomenal acoustics.  Admission to the Opera House Museum in Milan costs 5 Euros and is open from 9am to 5pm.

Milan Antique Art Museum

The Milan Antique Museum is located inside the Sforzesco Castle which is one of the most famous pieces of historical architecture in Milan. The Milan Antique Museum has a particularly good collection of art from local artists as well as a large exhibit of sculptures.
