The Historical Power and Might of the King of Goguryeo
This was a very powerful empire that was undefeated even by the Chinese dynasty. Dam-deok had been crowned as the Prince at the age of 11 when he located his father. By the age of 16 he was already crowned as the King of Goguryeo.
After defeating the Chinese invasions by the Yeon Dynasty this powerful king went on and attacked the brother country in the southwestern area of Goguryeo and took over most of the northern part of the empire of Baekje. During his rule as King he had taken over hundreds of castles and thousands of villages, which he had complete control over and which were made part of his empire.
The story progresses to a prophecy of two stars breaking up in the sky and shows the birth of two different children in each of the empires.
Now one of the gods who had seen this prophecy waited to see whether the boy born in Baekje known as King Ah-shin or the one born in Goguryeo known as Gwang Gae Toh Dae Wang would be his master.
The revolves around the search of these four for their eventual master, who turns out to be the clever and kindhearted Gwang Gae Toh Dae Wang. He’s constantly at war with the other boy who became King Ah-shin as they battle for their empire and the hand of the woman they love.
