Turkey Point camping offers a unique opportunity to enjoy three large campgrounds which have a total of 235 campsites. There are many wooded areas that provide shady shelters at a convenient distance from each campsite.
For larger groups there are three secluded camping grounds at the North and South end of the park that can accommodate 30 to 40 people easily. The large camping grounds include accommodation for 12 to 40 people, whereas two of the camping grounds can accommodate 12 to 30 people. The sites are equipped with on-site toilets and a water supply.
The beauty of this location is that it is only 2 km from the beach and the comfort stations are just a short walk away. You must reserve your camping site in advance by calling the park directly.
During the day you can enjoy it as a picnic ground because it is equipped with tables, water supply, play areas and toilets for picnickers. These picnic spots are not that close to the beach, which is located in the village at approximately a 1 km ride from the beach.
However, with a day permit you can use both the park as well as the picnic area and the parking lot at the beach inside the village, making your trip an easy and convenient one.
There are ample electric sites in the park with approximately one hundred and four stations; 67 of these are located in campground number one, which is known as Walkingstick Woods Campground, while 29 electric sites are located in Whippoorwill Campground. Another 8 are to be found in the Fin & Feather Campground.
With a pass to the picnic and camping areas you can actually enjoy free access to the swimming area, showers and toilets along with the laundromat. In order to make it an enjoyable time for everyone there are also two campsites which cater to disabled people. One of those is equipped with electrical hookups. There is a small store located in the village where you can purchase snacks, firewood, camping supplies and a variety souvenirs from this Ontario park.

Why not enjoy hiking, boating and camping with your friends and family? The park has boat launching facilities in the village at the Turkey Point as well as the Marina. You will have to pay a small charge but it is well worth the price. Children and adults can both enjoy a lovely swim in the well equipped and lifeguarded swimming pools.
There is are unique opportunities to view wildlife and with it the province’s natural heritage during your trip to Turkey Point. Special winter activities are planned at the park to ensure year round activity for nature lovers and enthusiasts. There are special regulations if you’re bringing your own firewood to the park and it is important to contact the park owners and management before you plan on staying there.
