Canada Goose produces unique products for men, women and youth. It is common that each target area has unique designs; however, the Expedition parka is so successful that the design has been adapted to suit each group. The Expedition parka is available in a variety of sizes unique to youth, women and men. The Expedition parka hangs slightly past the waist in the three unique styles it is produced in. The Expedition parka also has a few slight adaptations to tailor the Expedition parka to specific needs.
The most obvious difference in the Canada Goose Expedition parka is the colour availability for each group. The youth Expedition parka is available in brown, red, black and navy. The men’s Expedition parka meanwhile is offered by Canada Goose in white, steel, navy, tan, spirit, brown, stone grey, red and black. Finally, Canada Goose produces the women’s expedition parka in white, steel, navy, tan, spirit, brown, stone grey, sand and black.
Exterior
The exterior of the Canada Goose Expedition parka is water resistant and designed to withstand and protect against bitter cold and extreme winds. The Expedition parka achieves this as it is constructed from a material known as arctic tech. The Expedition parka also features a tunnel hood equipped with a coyote fur ruff for additional protection from the cold. The hood can be adjusted to fit the wearer through the use of the adjustable draw cord. The Canada Goose Expedition parka also includes a wind flap with a chin guard that is secured with Velcro; this piece of the parka is highly effective in protecting against cold winter winds. The parka also includes a two way zipper that is highly durable as well as elasticized and nylon reinforced knit cuffs on the end of each sleeve. The knit cuffs effectively prevent snow and wind from accidentally sliding up the sleeve. The Canada Goose Expedition parka is also equipped with pockets that are commonly used for storage or additional warmth. All of the styles of the Expedition parka include four fleece lined pockets that include a zipper closure. The Expedition parka additionally includes four more pockets with a velcro closure.
Interior
The interior of the Canada Goose Expedition parka is carefully constructed to ensure the best possible protection in extreme environments. The expedition parka like all of Canada Goose’s products is insulated by an all goose down. The goose down is protected and held in place by a 100% nylon proof elasticized snow skirt. Many pieces from the Canada Goose line feature interior pockets; however, the youth style of the Expedition parka does not have any interior pockets. On the other hand, both of the men’s and women’s styled Expedition Parka include two interior pockets, although neither pocket is specifically designed for electronic storage.
