French Braids
French Braids are a hair plait worked from the crown of the head down, with strands added in from the sides as the braid moves down the back. Articles cover the basic three-strand technique, the Dutch braid which is the same braid worked underhand instead of overhand, double French braids on either side of the head, and the messy look popular at music festivals. There are practical notes on which hair lengths are easiest to start with, on prepping with a light texture spray, and on why a tight French braid stays in overnight better than a regular three-strand plait.
