Italian Chicken Pot Pie

Making the Chicken pot pie

Your first step will be to heat the boiler so that while you prepare the rest of the dish it remains preheated. But you should be cautious as to remove the upper and lower pans as far away from the heat source as possible. You will need to place a large pot over a medium high flame and smear it with extra-virgin olive oil twice around the pan. Add the butter to the pot and put in the mushrooms as it begins to melt while cooking it for around five minutes. To this you will add the garlic, pearl onions, celery, carrots, rep pepper flakes and the salt and pepper and cook for five more minutes.

After this you will add in the sliced polenta log and mozzarella cheese. Next up you will add the flour to the veggies to which you will add the chicken stock and cream. Heat it until you see it bubbling which should not take more than ten minutes. You will need to remove the meat from the chicken, tear it into bite-size pieces while discarding the skin and keep adding it to the sauce. Once all of it is in add the peas, tomatoes, basil and parsley and once all these items are cooked then transfer the contents into a baking dish. Now you will decorate the contents in the baking dish with the polenta disks and mozzarella that you sliced placing then evenly. To put the finishing touches on the Italian chicken pot pie you can sprinkle the dish with grated cheese. When the polenta is warm and the cheese brown then know that your Italian chicken pot pie is ready.
