Burmese Python

Burmese Python is one of the largest snake species in the world, native to Southeast Asia from Myanmar through southern China and into Indonesia. Articles look at the wild population in Asia, the introduced and now invasive population in the Florida Everglades that has reshaped the small mammal community there, the typical adult length of three to five metres for females, the captive breeding for the pet trade and the colour morphs that came out of it, the long-running campaign to ban private ownership of large constrictors in some US states and the proper handling and feeding of a large captive snake.
