Some classic Chilean goat cheese recipes are given below:

Mushroom Saute with Goat Cheese Crostini

This is an all time classic Chilean goat cheese appetizer. You will need about half a cup sun dried tomatoes and a cup of boiling water. Along with this you need to have some butter, chopped garlic cloves, crushed red pepper, dried thyme, fresh stemmed and sliced mushrooms, lemon juice, basil and fresh parsley. You should also attempt to get your hands on canned artichoke hands for this recipe. Add to the list a French bread baguette that you will cut diagonally into thick slices. You will be using some freshly grated parmesan cheese along with about eight ounces of herbed goat cheese for this recipe.

Start off by boiling the sun dried tomatoes. Drain them and slice them once they have softened and set aside. Melt some butter over a skillet and add the garlic, thyme and red pepper to sauté. After about one minute add the shiitake as well as the button mushrooms and sauté until they turn a light brown. This is where you will add the lemon juice and mix in the sun dried tomatoes along with the artichoke hearts. Later add the basil along with around two tablespoons of butter seasoning it to taste with salt and pepper. Sprinkle it with chopped parsley after transferring it to a bowl.

On the side preheat your oven to 275F. Lay out the baguette slices on a baking sheet and bake them for about eight minutes. Now brush the baguettes with butter and sprinkle them with parmesan cheese. Return them to the oven for about five minutes. As the last step, just before serving you will add the crostini and goat cheese along with the mushroom mixture.

Goat Cheese Roll Recipe

If you are looking for something simpler and far easier to make then goat cheese rolls are your ideal alternative. If you do not want to go through the trouble of making your own herbed goat cheese then you can pick it up from the supermarket. Make a mixture using garlic spread, garlic powder, basil, parsley oregano, parmesan cheese and salt. Next roll the cheese in this mixture and seal it in a tight plastic wrap making sure all sides are coated perfectly. This should be left to marinate in the refrigerator for the night. This Chilean goat cheese recipe entails that you serve the rolls as you take them out from the fridge. This means you do not have to reheat them. Serve them with crackers to enjoy this traditional Chilean goat cheese recipe to the fullest.
