Located in South Wales near the town of Abergavenny. Jinks Cottage is a 13th century building that once served as the home of a cobbler called Jinks.
The building has been restored to create a relaxing retreat for vacationers.

Jinks Cottage is located in the village of LlangattockLingoed. Allowing guests to readily access the beautiful Welsh countryside, just a few feet away.
It looks out to a knot-style garden that features a spring water fountain, rose plants, lavender beds and a weeping willow, just to name a few. Climbing up a few stone steps, you can access a garden adorned by orchard trees, shrubberies and herbs, along with a lawn that provides ample space to play and relax.
It is in close proximity to a picturesque market town called Abergavenny. Meaning that shops, restaurants and pubs are within easy reach. In fact, the location is perfect for country walks as well as town living. It is also a perfect base to visit Roman ruins, local castles and even the lively capital city of Cardiff.
Jinks Cottage Facilities
The self-catering cottage is equipped with all the modern amenities, such as TV, DVD, brass bedsteads and comfortable sofas. The kitchen is equipped with high quality appliances, utensils, crockery, cutlery etc. to meet your self-catering requirements. Solid oak floors complement the interior décor.
The dining area has a lounge layout with luxury drapery, comfy couches and a log burning stove. Allowing you to shut off from the outside and relax, whether you are watching a movie, listening to music, enjoying a meal or just crouching near the log fire.
There are two bedrooms and two en-suite bathrooms with all amenities. The master bedroom features a brass-cum-iron double bed. Rich goose-down duvet, Egyptian cotton linen, classy furniture and other accessories that make the room lovely and luxurious. It is accessed via a spiral staircase.
The bedroom downstairs consists of a twin room with single bedsteads, duvets, fine linens, French furniture and a circular window in the eaves. The presence of a downstairs bedroom is a comfortable feature for the physically challenged and aged guests.
Beside the cottage is a laundry room that provides a washing machine, dryer and deep freeze.
Attractions near the cottage
Brecon Beacons is an idyllic location close to the cottage. The shops and restaurants of Brecon, Crickhowell and Abergavenny are a short drive from the cottage. Abergavenny is just nine miles from Jinks Cottage.
As the cottage is located on the path to Offa’s Dyke, guests can enjoy a pleasant hill walk from the bottom of its well-maintained garden. The 13th century St Caddock Church, renowned for its medieval wall paintings and flower meadow, is situated just 500 yards from the cottage. Hunters Moon is a nice place for food, wines and ales.

The cottage is open round the year for weekly and weekend lets. The tariff includes bed linen, towels, central heating, electricity and logs for the wood stove. Smoking and pets are not allowed. There is plenty of private parking near the property and there is a barbeque for added convenience. The beautiful garden features comfortable furniture.
