Canadian Geese
Canadian Geese is the common but technically incorrect plural of Canada Goose, and the posts here cover the resident and migratory populations from a backyard observer angle rather than from a hunter angle. Articles look at the noisy spring arrival in southern Canada, the late-summer moult when adults cannot fly and stay close to water, the way urban populations have grown to a point where many cities run cull or relocation programmes, the typical clutch size of five to seven and the long pair bond. There are also notes on telling Canada Geese from the Cackling Goose by size and call.
