Korean War posts cover the conflict from June 1950 through the armistice of July 1953. Articles look at the initial North Korean invasion across the 38th parallel, the desperate Pusan perimeter defence, MacArthur’s Inchon landing, the push north to the Yalu, the Chinese intervention that pushed the UN forces back, the long stalemate around the parallel and the costly battles at Heartbreak Ridge and Pork Chop Hill. There are also notes on the role of the Commonwealth and other UN contingents, on the ongoing technical state of war between the two Koreas and on the recent prisoner repatriation programmes.
